Cease Co-ordinator

We are looking for someone who has a strong understanding of data and voice network, Skype for Business and VoIP to join our growing team as a Cease Co-ordinator at our Leeds, Lincoln or Salford office. Role summary:

The Cease Co-Ordinator will be responsible for assisting in the management of the overall cease activities. To be successful in this role you will need an understanding and knowledge of the importance of cease and decommission processes to be able to provide focused leadership and timely processing of all cease requests both internally and with external customers.

You will be expected to manage the decommissioning of services fully throughout the business, maintaining data and removing CI's when necessary to ensure match book capability.

Key responsibilities:

  • Co-ordinate projectd involving the cease and decommissioning of standard, complex, bespoke and strategically important solutions comprised of the GCI and associated companies' portfolio
  • Administration of the decommissioning tasks out via the ITSM toolset. This will inclde the cessation of third party services, controlled shut down and removal of hardware (where applicable) and removal of assets from monitoring toolsets and internal systems
  • Comply with and continually develop of current cease processes and work procedures, providing support and knowledge in the re-engineering of processes and their effective implementation
  • Carry out data integrity checks, agreeing a period of monitoring that is generally tracked by the C&D team, ensuring the formal sign-off of a cease project activity
  • Work effectively with third parties to ensure that circuits are ceased and that actions are followed up

We are looking for someone who:

  • Understands the importance of match book
  • Can contribute to the build, improvement and development of processes that ensures the cease team works together efficiently and with other internal teams as well as external customers
  • Has a strong understanding of data and voice network, SFB, VoIP products as well as an understanding and knowledge of the importance of cease and decommission processes
  • Plans and manages own workload; is well organised and able to multi-task effectively
  • Systematically breaks down components of a problem to reveal causes; plans and manages internal audits and reviews relevant information to identify key issues
  • Proactively updates relevant stakeholders, building credibility, respect and trust through demonstrating a level of product and commercial knowledge
  • Is from a customer services or product support background with a demonstrable track record in effectively managing internal and external relationships (desirable)
