Cloud Services Analyst

We are looking for someone who wants to contribute to the success of GCI's Cloud Services Department to join our growing team as a Cloud Services Analyst at our Poole office. Role summary:

The Cloud Services Analyst will be responsible for providing support and assistance to the Cloud Services team. To be successful in this role you will need excellent administration and organisational skills to be able to ensure that all customer and internal requirements are met.

You will be expected to monitor the team's inbox, responding to and liaising with engineers and GCI Account Managers, and complete monthly billing duties including metering and auditing declarations. 

Key responsibilities:

  • Basic provisioning and support duties - IaaS, NaaS, DaaS, Carbonite Evault, Kapersky, VMware, vCloud, Duo Security/Hotpins, Citrix
  • Assisting the Head of Cloud Services with the management of quality systems and documentation for ISO 27001 and 9001, associated documents and risk assessments
  • Responding to and assigning all support enquiries to Cloud Services engineers
  • Assisting the Service Delivery team by managing customer expectations and ensuring Account Managers have current information
  • Updating the monthly Billing spreadsheet throughout the month, adding and removing customers where necessary to ensure the capture at month end
  • Escalating all watch point tickets to the appropriate level of engineer

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has a basic knowledge of the following:
    • IT infrastructure and operations
    • Licencing models (SPLA, VSPP, CSP, VSP)
    • Certification Bodies (ISO 27001, 9001, PCI) and practice in their implementation (desirable)
    • Cloud technologies
    • Microsoft server products and platforms
  • Has excellent organisation and administration skills
  • Has excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Is confident in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
