We're looking for an ambitious and technically-savvy Service Desk Apprentice to join our Service Desk Team in Poole. Working on the latest, cutting edge technologies, you will embark on the IT Infrastructure Technician Level 3 Apprenticeship programme which combines online learning, classroom training and on-the-job experience to develop real world skills.

Role summary:

As a Service Desk Apprentice, you will be responsible for providing:

  • The first point of professional contact for GCI's Managed Service customers
  • First-time resolution with basic troubleshooting and diagnosis
  • Updates on open items and resolutions to line management

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is educated to A Level standard
  • Has demonstrable experience of working in a call centre environment, ideally providing technical support
  • Exhibits confidence and professionalism - along with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels
  • Self-teaches and builds on their understanding in their chosen subject
  • Thrives in a hands-on environment
  • Can work well as part of a team as well as on their own
  • Can give examples of their strengths and knowledge
  • Is a self-starter
  • Can successfully follow instructions and complete tasks

Working hours: 40 hours per week under a 24/7 shift pattern.
