Senior Project Manager

Role summary:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Project Manager to join our team. This is the perfect opportunity for a talented individual to join one of the UK’s fastest growing MSPs, working on the latest, cutting-edge technologies.

The Senior Project Manager will typically manage a broad portfolio of projects, including but not limited to technical infrastructure, software development, new product development and business change projects. They will also be responsible for the scoping, planning and delivery of complex internal projects, ensuring the delivery of a cross-functional portfolio of projects within the GCI programme management roadmap in accordance with PRINCE2 methodology.

The Senior Project Manager is also responsible for the coordination of activities, and the assignment and management of the required resources within the agreed timescales. They will have sole responsibility for any approved project budget and will be accountable for the collation and monitoring of timesheets and expenses.

Key responsibilities:

=         Delivery -  Management of projects in the deployment of complex, bespoke and strategically-important projects for GCI in accordance with PRINCE2 methodology

=         Stakeholder management – Requires a highly-skilled individual with the ability to provide effective Stakeholder management, both internally and externally with suppliers

=         Communication management – Ensures communication strategies are followed, both internally and externally

=         Gathers extra resources to enable expectations to be met

=         Keeps stakeholders fully informed of progress, reducing the impact of any potential delays

=         Delivers projects on time, to spec, and without adverse effects on other departments
