Service Desk Apprentice (Level 4)

As the business expands, GCI are looking for bright, technically savvy apprentices to join our Microsoft Practice and to embark on the Network Engineer Level 4 Apprenticeship Programme.

Key responsibilies:

From day one, you will become a valued member of the Service Desk team that is responsible for:

  • Providing the first point of professional contact for GCI's Managed Service customers
  • Providing first-time resolution by basic troubleshooting and diagnosis

You will join and become a fully engaged team member, passionate about customer service and technology. You will work 37.5 hours per week under a 24/7 shift pattern.

Candidates must have a relevant IT-related A-level and must have demonstrable experience of working in a call-centre environment, ideally providing technical support. 

We are looking for someone who:

  • Self-teaches and builds their understanding in their chosen subject 
  • Thrives in a hands on environment
  • Is able to work well as part of a team as well as on their own
  • Can give examples of their strengths and knowledge
  • Is a self-starter
  • Can follow instructions and complete tasks

To be eligible for a Government funded apprenticeship you must have lived in the UK or European Economic Area (EEA) for the last 3 consecutive years.
